Koloa Landing on the edge of Koloa town was the states third largest whaling port in the 1800's and was also used for the export of raw sugar and sweet potatoes. Today it is the South Sides most popular shore dive site.
Poipu is known for its exceptionally dry weather. The golden, sandy beaches are favorite spots for sunning, picnicking, snorkeling and diving. The entire poipu beach area is dedicated to recreation and relaxation.
