The Scuba Cat

The "Kulia" is Kauai's finest custom-built dive boat. With ample room for up to twelve divers, she features freshwater showers, head and stereo system with a large swim step and dual dive ladders that make backward rolls obsolete! Because of Kauai's unique shoreline, we can combine many different ocean experiences such as snorkeling and scuba diving, from beginner to advanced, on a day's boat trip.

For Advanced certified and experienced divers seeking a truly uncommon underwater experience, during May to September, regularly scheduled trips to The Forbidden Isle of Ni'ihau/Lehua Rock and trips to Mana Crack - the start of the Napali coast, are in store for our 2006 season.

All of our dive boats operate "ONLY" on the South shore of the Island, which is sheltered by the constantly blowing North East trade winds, making the south side sunny with calm oceans. Both boats "Kulia" and "Scuba Cat" are USCG certified for 12 divers. We limit capacity to a maximum of 8 divers for space and comfort. Each vessel has a freshwater shower, head, stereo system and a large swim step that makes backward rolls obsolete. Wide dive ladders make an easy exit out of the water!

We meet at 7:45am at Port Allen in the small boat harbor. The usual return time form our dive charters is 12:30pm, afternoon dives meet at 1:00pm. Boat Night Dives meet 45 minutes before sunset.

Boat dives are 2-tank dives at 2 different locations. We have 24 dive sites and choose 2 different dive sites that day as we leave the harbor based on ocean conditions and dive group experience level. We do take specific requests for dive sites and will do our best to meet them according to ocean and weather conditions. Dive computers and "soft" weights are included on all boat dives. Light snacks, water with an assortment of beverages are included in your tour. A full Price List is available.

All tours are guided by an experienced PADI Instructor/Divemaster as the tour leader. Private tours and charters are available.
