Entry from shore. Although the starting visibility in the harbour can be alarmingly bad, this changes as you round the point of the harbor. Very quickly, it becomes apparent that a large ship has literally dumped her cargo of World War Ordinance all over the reef a long, long time ago.
Although the sheer quantity of the Artillery rounds, mortar shells and boxes upon boxes of bullets seem to cover a huge area, the reef has grown accustomed to this remnants of the past - and the marine life is full and varied.
Due to the number of fisherman on the Harbor walls as well as the poor visibility, this is an experienced dive site where you should have a guide. The waters can get extremely rough when an East wind is blowing.
We offer morning and afternoon shore dives. However, since the trade winds pick up in the afternoon, the water is much calmer early in the morning.
We can meet at 9am at the dive site and are usually finished by 12:30. These dives are two tank dives in two different areas of the same location.
